Lyckeby - perhaps the most classic kerosene lamp of them all - has been manufactured since the 1880s! This oil lamp is made of wrought iron with a shade of aluminum and the lamp glass is mouth-blown. The lamp is powered by kerosene, also called lamp oil that is filled by unscrewing the kerosene burner. The brightness is dependent on the size of the kerosene burner, which is listed in lines ('''), where one line roughly corresponds to the brightness of a small candle.
Height: 610 + 500 mm chain
Color: Black wrought iron with polished brass details
Light source: 14'' round burner
The lamp is also possible to order with electrical light source (E14 socket) or in white instead of black. If you are interested in the lamp in another finish than shown on the picture, email or call us for price and order.
Our kerosene lamps are not intended for decorative lighting purposes, but only as a primary light source in spaces lacking modern electrical lighting (such as, for example, holiday cottages, porches and patios).
According to EU directive EN 14059: 2002, traditional round burners, whose dimensions and construction have been the same since the 1870s, no longer meet the safety requirements that should be set to protect children under the age of three from danger, so they must not be used for decorative purposes, but only as functional lighting. Should our lamps - contrary to our intentions - be used for decorative purposes, there is a risk that children under the age of three, by sucking on the wick or drinking from the kerosene, are exposed to life-threatening lung injuries. IF INGESTION OF KEROSENE: Do not induce vomiting. Contact the Poison Information Center or doctor immediately!
